Most admit a fire rages, but disagree on what to do about it
Tomorrow is November 5th. It’s been a long time coming… a damn long time. I want to talk about how this feels to me personally, as a white, educated, 61-year-old, divorced, childless, dog mom (I’ve had the cats too!).
In 2016, I wore the pussy hat my mom knitted me. That felt important, but this time around, things feel crucial. In 2016, temperatures were high, but not yet in the red zone.
Scratch that. We were in the red zone; we were on fire. Some people saw the flames… but collectively, we didn’t call in the fire department.
The 2024 election is different. Most of us see the fire raging — unfortunately, we’re divided about how to put it out.
In Trump world, all those leftist democrats are responsible for your suffering…. Whether you don’t have a job, money, home, childcare, healthcare, or retirement fund, it’s because of the Biden administration. A Trump presidency can fix everything that ails you by expelling migrants, raising tariffs, punishing the enemies within, routing government agencies of demon democrats, and placing Trump loyalists like Elon Musk and Robert Kennedy, Jr. in charge.
