If Trump Wins, We will ALL be “Others”
Trump, Musk, money, and OTHERING
Once I get on the topic of racism, antisemitism, sexism, or any other “isms,” I find it hard to pivot. As a person grounded in oneness — the understanding that all things are one, we are all part of the same thing, there is no us vs them — I see othering as futile. It’s a bit like countries separated by borders that only exist on paper.
OK, there are reasons for boundaries, separation, individualism… But beyond the fray of all the minutiae, we are all one. I’m not the first to say it, and I won’t be the last. Intelligent, compassionate, successful people throughout time have felt the same; I wrote about some of them here.
I am writing a series of articles on Medium that began 10 days ago, the first of which is here. At three weeks prior to the 2024 U.S. Presidential election, I decided I couldn’t stand by and do nothing other than fret. I’m a writer, so I’m writing, every day until the election on November 5th.
I’ve heard this election referred to in desperate terms by many a learned person…
