Fear & Love
The opposite of love isn’t hate; it is fear
Fear is real;
denial only becomes it.
Own the fear,
expose it,
name it,
let it take up some space.
Shed some light,
(scarier in the dark!)
and examine it inside-
out.
Strive to know it
perhaps transpose it
talk it out
rid it of power.
Be gentle and
WAIT!
Waiting is so hard!
YES, and
acting from fear is harder.
A journey
launched in fear
misleads,
deceives true hearts,
creating illusions,
treachery…
the body hurries on
mission-driven
but the soul
sleeping beauty
forsaken.
Rather be still
seek a nugget of delight
glory in a bird’s twitter
a leaf’s flight
the color purple.
Time will weaken
fear’s wrath…
Slowly, steadily
Smaller,
clearer,
it tires
and let’s go.
Fresh,
love buds-
guides
moves
gently
you become
soul.
