“Oh My Goddess” — 8.7.21

Day 30-August 6, 2021–30/30

I cannot believe I did this. Bigger, I cannot believe how fabulous this project turned out to be. Fabulous in the sense that I loved it all so much and learned so much, feel like I’ve grown astronomically.

I love today’s piece. It grew from an idea — a kaleidoscope — to something more core, the goddess and her energy. But I wasn’t happy with it early on; I just kept playing and working until she appeared, until I got the clarity I was looking for, the images framed in a way that felt natural.

Even then, when I was done with the alcohol inks, I wasn’t happy with a small patch of circle around the goddess. But I was working with beach rocks and a protective semicircle came through, better than any color could have been, and now I feel so good. I stuck with the image until it was complete — not “right” not “perfect” just complete.

That feels big; the awareness of when something is complete, felt deep inside.

I am proud, happy, joyous.

Thanks for Reading!

Tomorrow I will post an epilogue to this 30 days of writing, for now…

When you complete something big, how do you honor it and yourself?

Do you want to create your own 30-Day Project? Is it time to LEAP?
